Who won out on those? I'm thinking that this was bad for the banks considering that the housing market has declined. Did they buy high?

that may have been a reverse mortgage...it was marketed to people "over 62" with equity in their homes. Not sure if that is the same thing...

to add in depreciation clauses in many cases (at least in the ones made after the 2nd quarter of 2006).
