7. Yes - Edwards
Even though Elizabeth's cancer has returned (and is in bone, not showing much in soft tissue, based on what they're saying), he's going to continue.

8. John says they've gone through shit before and they are not the kind
to go and run and hide in a corner.

They will keep talking about things they believe in.

Eliz. says she will get tired sometime...but she's also 57 with young kids, so they make her tired, too.

She's immensely proud of John's campaign, based on real people, it would be easy to give it up if it were all about John Edwards....

It's a hurdle, but she's seen people who have no place to turn so it's unbelievably important that we get this election right!!

14. Alone in the hospital, she only wanted to talk about her children, the
country, her campaign, nothing about her. John really choked up but swallowed it....

16. She wrenched her rib/back as she moved a big chest.....
"we have a new house, you might have heard about it"--LOL!!!

She says it's a blessing because the rib broke and they spotted the cancer.....

15. The cancer has moved to the bone. Cannot be cured but can be treated.
Found early.

I am not a doctor, but, for all I know, it is not good news. I can only admire how upbeat she was.

31. Bone cancer, that could be treated can't it? what is it a Bone
marrow transplant that could be done.

I found some information just in case anyone is interested.

32. Yes. A bone marrow transplant would be a treatment IF she finds a match. One of her children could
Edited on Thu Mar-22-07 01:03 PM by in_cog_ni_to
be a possible match, if not them, they go to other family members. If no one in the family matches, they go to the bone marrow bank. My B-I-L had Leukemia 30+ years ago. He had 5 brothers and 1 sister and one brother was a PERFECT match. He lives today because of that bone marrow transplant.

on edit:
DISREGARD this post. I've been told a bone marrow transplant only works with Leukemia patients.:(

17. Folks, THIS is what a First Lady looks/acts like. Brave, humane, inspirational
I have always been a bit lukewarm about him, but she rocks and if she believes in him, I'll give him a closer look.

This is a classy woman with guts and strength. She is so good for America.

Strength and healing to a Great Lady and an inspirational American woman.

no hunker in the bunker, hide your weaknesses mentality.

Rethinking that closer look I decided to give. Think it will be a check instead. next week when I get paid. You have to have hope, whether fighting cancer of fighting to save America. This team inspires hope and vision. I'm in.

18. Yes!!
Good news and bad news at the same time. If the cancer is in the bone, that's very bad - but at the same time, I'm impressed beyond belief that they're going forward. Actually, I'd have expected nothing less. Having that goal and that passion will be good for them both. The cowardly slimey Rethugs should take a lesson in character here.

25. They are human beings, not a huge machine.....if character counts,
a phrase which has been crapped on by the originators....then these two are super human.

They are an inspiration.
