What's your motivation for toasting tonight, saying fuck off to 2008 and all it stood for or saying here's to 2009 and the future?

3. Will people hate me if I say that 2008 was a very good year for me amd mine?

I found a good paying job after being unemployed for 2 years, we relocated to SoCal and were able to avoid foreclosure on our old digs through a short sale, Obama got elected and I kept off all but 10lbs of the 45 lbs I lost from 8/07-3/08 (and most of the gain has come over the holidays).

I know many are struggling, and there's no saying that I won't be back in an unemployed status sometime in 2009 (whose job is secure these days?), but 2008 was a HUGE improvement for me over 2006 & 2007.

I wouldn't say I'm looking forward to 2009. Hopefully 2009 will fly by and we can end this decade already.
