9. The media likes to have its headlines written BEFORE
press conferences, I've noticed lately.

10. Oops!
Did you hear Elizabeth during the press conference get in a little stab at the media.

Something like that "and you haven't been getting this story right"

11. wishful thinking--they don't want to compete against John--he's formidable
they want someone they can kick around, like Hillary or Obama--also formidable people, but just because of the way they are made they are targets for trashing, unlike John, who epitomizes all the values the PuKKKes claim to admire: good marriage, hard working God fearing etc. Sure he's a trial lawyer and so on, but they are struggling to use the politics of personal destruction on the guy.

I'm glad to hear the campaign will go on--his perseverance and steadiness in the face of such harrowing family issues is inspiring. The Edwards are true leaders and admirable public servants.

13. I believe he will pull out..He didn't want to overshadow his wife's precarious condition
Why wouldn't he want to pull out? If her condition is terminal, he'd want to spend whatever time she has left with her and his family; rather than wasting valuable time on the campaign trail.

His withdrawal will come after the latest news about Elizabeth's health has been accepted and digested by the msm..

18. Now, what crap would that be Bucky?
That announcement was about Eliz Edwards.. I watched it LIVE.. Edwards gave no reassurance he was going to continue with his campaign. It wouldn't have been inappropriate for him to say so, as a last minute addition to his announcement.

However, it would have been inappropriate for him to announce he was shutting down his campaign as the result of his wife's terminal condition..because an announcement like that is a major news headline. Apparently, John Edwards has more CLASS that some of his so called supporters who are devoid of any inkling of how things are done in a respectful way! feh!

Edwards to continue 2008 White House campaign

CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina (Reuters) - Democrat John Edwards said on Thursday
he would continue his 2008 presidential campaign even though his wife Elizabeth
has suffered a recurrence of cancer that first struck her in 2004.
