HOW CAN WE SEND FLOWERS TO SOMEONE WHOSE HOUSE IS TOO BIG?
Edited on Thu Mar-22-07 12:36 PM by undeterred
edit: :sarcasm:

Sorry, I couldn't help myself. After all the Edwards bashing threads we've had around here, it took a terrible dose of reality to smack us in the head.

Let's send enough to fill the whole house with flowers. Generous people that they are, I'm sure that John and Elizabeth will make sure lots of people get to enjoy them.

2. How about a donation to a cancer foundation in her name instead?

13. I wish we could do a DU cancer donation drive like we did for poverty during the holidays.
A big, pinned thread and a little encouragement, and we could collectively make a sizeable donation in her name.

Admins? Thoughts?

4. Flowers are showy, but donations to cancer research are effective...
and I think Elizabeth would prefer the effective over the showy.

I vote for donations to any organization that assists in breast cancer research.

11. flowers wilt, unfortunately cancer cells do not
however what does it say, when one womans struggle (though certainly terrible) will move one to action, but the daily life and death struggle of children thousands of miles away in lands we have never seen lead to complacency. you fret over sending a FLOWER, why not send FLOUR to those who truly need.

7. I'm glad I took the time to read your entire post, 'cause I was

thinking, obviously, that you had posted something that was gonna piss me off. My bad, sorry. :hi: Just shows me I shouldn't jump to conclusions.:-)
Flowers are a nice thought.
PS. I try not to go to posts here which wind up bashing fellow Democrats, so I didn't know there's been some of that here.
PPS. How about donations to a cancer organization, flowers, and a donation to John Edwards' campaign?

were devoted to the square footage of the various candidates homes... I know because it took me forever to hide them all! Now the tone is totally different, but its funny how one piece of information changes EVERYTHING.

9. Oddly enough, I can do both
I can think they made a terrible mistake with their home on an environmental level - but also think they are basically good people who deserve tokens of affection. And, lo and behold, can support personal tokens of affection AND donations to both their campaign and cancer research.

It's friggin' amazing that even an old mentalpaused brain like my own can hold more than one thought at a time!!

Good grief.

He sure isn't able to do that! In fact, a box of rocks is more capable.

And you didn't realize how lucky you are!
