A regular feature is "Acts of Kindness".. Maybe it's a canadian thing, but it's quite uplifting to read all these little vignettes..
enjoy..

While Christmas shopping at Jackson Sqaure in Hamilton, I was caught in a real bind.
My baby had made his clothes unwearable (you get my drift) and although I had a fresh diaper, I had no dry clothes.
I bathed him as best I could in a tiny washroom, and then wrapped him in my winter coat with the intention of purchasing some clothes from the nearest baby store. As I reached the top of the escalator, I noticed the Hamilton Opera Company store and made a beeline.
Imagine their shock when I announced, "My baby has no clothes!"
They grabbed the biggest and warmest sweatshirt from the window and handed it to me and my baby was warm as toast all the way home.
Thanks to Hamilton Opera Company for their generosity.

My husband and I, complete city slickers, moved from Port Credit to Mansfield recently and into the house we have dreamed about forever. Snow-covered driveways are nothing new to us, so we thought we'd get the moving truck up the very long driveway without a problem. Wrong.
After several tense hours wondering whether we were going to lose all our furniture as the truck continued to tip further into the sides of the gulley, we decided to give up and try again when it was daylight.
Within 20 minutes we heard a knock at our door. Two complete strangers, our new neighbours, had seen the truck and called a local farmer with a tractor to see if he could pull us up the driveway, something two earlier tow trucks said was impossible. Not only did it pull the truck up the driveway, these guys offered to help us unload the truck!
As our neighbours were quick to tell us, "that's the way we do things in the country." I think I'm gonna like it here. Thanks Neetan, Dave and Alex.

I flew on an Air Canada flight home from New York last week with my daughter, who is 6. She had a seat on the opposite side of the plane. She was terrified to sit away from me and was crying.
I asked a gentleman in the seat beside her if he would switch with me, and he gladly helped me out. This generosity generally goes unnoticed, and I didn't feel that I had the opportunity to thank him properly.
Thank you to the passenger on flight 721 in row 22 on Dec. 10. You have no idea how much it meant to my little girl to sit beside me.
