to said evidence, is on a fast track. This is where we are today? Ah, the smell of rule of law in the morning...it's like...it's like...

What a friggin' clusterfuck.

2. Fitzgerald's public lynching of Balgojevich
just in time to obstruct the Senate appointment followed up by his demand for a 60 day extension to the normal 30 to bring in an indictment is crap. If he didn't have his case ready he should not have moved against Blagojevich. Now it just looks like he is interfering in the government of Illinois. I'm sure his only motive was to prevent a corrupt appointment, or perhaps I'm not so sure. How would we know now? All we seem to know is that Blagojevich was very publicly arrested, a lot of very embarrassing stuff was leaked to the press as part of that very public arrest, and then the DA in charge of the case turns around and demands more time because he just isn't ready. What has all this kerfuffle accomplished? All it seems to have done for now is reduce the Democratic vote count in the Senate by one.

This is the same DA who took a huge amount of time to do just about nothing in the Plame case. Where were the humiliating arrests of high officials in that case? Oh yeah he bagged the lame and hapless fall-guy Libby.

We consider Fitzgerald some sort of hero here why?

I certainly don't know why...

Fitz is all talk and no show...

He is first and foremost a REPUKE.

4. really, i don't get it. Fitz did all this to save the people of IL
but the law is being twisted out of shape in 14 directions to do the law. What the hell was Fitz thinking? Just negate the way the state represnts itself by appointment and just leave the state with months of wrangling an impeachment/court appeal process before it can get proper representation, all because a wiretap revealed a POSSIBILITY of corruption without action? This is what's best for us, justice being done in the public good? All in a seeming rush to save us from selling a seat that, in the end, wasn't sold.

Watch as the US Senate makes a precident of inclusion that will bite back hard on someone else someday, saving us poor folk from Roland Burris. What a joke - as the old saying goes, the law is an ass.

Guilty Blago or not - Fitz has a responsiblity not to have his actions make this become a circus, and he failed miserably.
