Tying Obama up with war the way Clinton was when he first went into office
Edited on Sat Jan-03-09 03:13 PM by peacetrain
This may be tin foil hat time.. but I remember what Bush the elder did to Bill Clinton with Somalia..He tied Clinton up with a war, before he even got into office.. That December before Clinton took office just weeks away, Bush the elder ordered 25,000 troops into Somalia.. The right has gotten away with painting that conflict as a complete Clinton fiasco, and getting away with the fact it was their faction that entered into it.

There is no way, that we could not have impacted on Israel to not attack, or let the international community step in. We have done it enough times before. My bet is that the Bushites encouraged this. Israel is not going away, and neither are the Palestinians. Hamas is a terrorist organization that is getting props because of what is happening now with the the rest of the Islamic world.

This is just nuts.

2. A war + an economy that is nearly in a depression
Yes Obama will be hard pressed to accomplish his goals thanks to the 8 years of the bu$h regime policies.

4. The Israelis knew damned well this admin wouldn't lift a finger
either way, and this admin pretty much admitted to that.

Bush Refuses To Interrupt His Final Vacation As Middle East Crisis Escalates»

One senior Bush administration official told the Washington Post that he thinks the Israelis acted in Gaza “because they want it to be over before the next administration comes in” and because “they can’t predict how the next administration will handle it.” Indeed, Bush has become fairly predictable in how he manages these sorts of crises.
