Please support sustainable food and farming practices

Obama's choice of Vilsack for Sec of Ag. is worrying. He has strong ties to Monsanto and large agribusinesses. If we want to move toward sustainable farming practices, we must let the new administration know.

This petition initiated by Michael Pollan, Alice Waters, Wendell Berry, many other of our philosophical friends & activists continues with healthy momentum. It's got upwards of 60,000 co-signatories at present, with a list of proposed candidates up from 6 to 12. Looks like any would be good "under-secretaries" in Dept of Ag. Check it out at:

1. Yes!
This is as critically important an issue as our energy policy.
