Clear Channel removed liberal talk from San Diego because they bashed the President

after firing all the conservative whiners, NPR will be stocked with liberal radio hosts as long as Obama and the rest of the Dems hold power.

They should begin by snapping up the poor folks that got fired when RW radio was taken over.

Major departmental shifts are coming left and right in Washington, but one change is of primary interest to broadcasters: the new chairmanship of the FCC.

A handful of contenders have emerged to succeed oft-embattled Chairman Kevin Martin, whose exit is likely by early January. Among those atop the list are a pair of Barack Obama insiders (Julius Genachowski and Larry Strickling) and two more figures with FCC experience (Don Gips and Blair Levin).

Martin has not said when he will depart, and he could technically remain on as a commissioner after a new chairman—an interim chairman at first—is named after President-elect Obama takes the oath Jan. 20.

9. I am very much excited for this FCC stuff.

IT is the Corporate media that is the source of most of our problems. CNN was really into the "war" coverage today. They were quite excited....so much so, that if compelled me to change the channel and watch a movie instead. I have never been one to want to watch War coverage....especially, when it isn't a war that I support....which is most of them.

7. We need to keep a running list of companies that advertise on conservative

programs. People can make their own decisions about buying or not buying, writing complaint or support letters, but the names should be made available to those of us who do not listen to those programs.

More seriously, many of us have been writing the media for years, with no perceptible result; even the most enlightened journalists are behind the curve.

We need to pound Congress to restore restrictions on consolidated ownership and above all to protect the internet, which is already in dire jeopardy. And do everything else we can think of.
