1. My Office Closed for the Day
for which I am most greatful.

Lots of office around the DC area are closing from what I hear. Not sure if the feds have decided if they're shutting down for the day.

3. Ah, but federal pseudo-governmental is not.
They told us we have to work.

Me thinks they'll let us off the day beforehand though.

10. DC & Suburbs
Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax, DC, Montgomery and PG.

Also all those counties have school off plus Charles, Calvert, Prince William, Londoun and maybe a few more.

I also suspect a lot of contractors are going to tell their employees to stay home that day.

11. It seems like it is
Security is crazy, maybe even a little overboard, but considering the circumstances, I'm kinda okay with that. They're locking the restrooms in the subway stations, they're not allowing street food vendors to have propane tanks (to heat food) within several blocks of the parade route, mall, etc. DC is definitely not screwing around.

18. Beat you!
I'm two blocks away.

Our office was supposed to be open and I was supposed to man the helm. Thankfully, they decided to shut completely. I wouldn't be able to get in with either my bike, nor my backpack.

With the day free, I thought of going on photo safari at the Inauguration, but I think I'll stay over in Virginia and do something else.
