One More Time: Bush 3?
Source: New York Times

You may think you’ve seen the last of the Bushes in the White House, but the Bush family seems to have other ideas.

Former President George H. W. Bush said today that he would like to see another Bush in the Oval Office.

Speaking on Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Mr. Bush said he thought his son Jeb Bush, the former governor of Florida, should run for the Senate when Mel Martinez vacates the seat in Florida in 2010 — if he wants to.

He then added, “I’d like to see him run for president some day.”

to dedicate to destroying that family's ability to do anything but run a car wash.

If wishes were horses...

6. The idiot son can want it but he ain't gettin' it.
Nobody, not even Reps, would want another boosh in the WH after the idiot destroyed their party.

Had to laugh at the local Faux news channel last night when they showed a group of people in DC thanking boosh for the last 8 years... a LARGE crowd... must have been all of 10 people. What idiots.... :eyes:

Don't forget who we are dealing with, folks. I fully expect Jeb to be elected Senator from Florida in 2010 (he has no competition of any note, and we know the Bush dynasty's history of manipulating elections). From his Senate seat he can plot his path to the presidency with all the servile RW assistance he could ever want. Don't think it can't happen or you will be sorely mistaken.

9. People need to watch this bunch closely. I never thought we'd ever see
another bush** in the White House after the complete failure of his father's one term fiasco.

Ignore this family at your (OUR) peril.

if the bad taste of W leaves the mouths of the voters but, I doubt it. We just need to make sure they never get another chance at the WH.

12. You would think that after Shrub did so much damage Jeb wouldn't have a chance.
But, I never underestimate the stupidity of the American electorate, and they can have a very short political memory. And remember, if Jeb ran for prez eight years from now in 2016, in political terms eight years is like an eternity. Who knows what the state of the country will be then, and what type of political mood the electorate might be in? After all, politics is cyclical. So I would not automatically write off Jeb.

37. I'm a boomer and very much alive
and plan to be so for another 25 years along with most of my fellow boomers; your math is faulty. As for the Cuban loyalists, you may be sure they will vote for Jeb in droves when he runs for the Senate. Yes, he is that popular in this state.

20. Two words. Civil War! He can be President if the Republicans win.
But first the Republicans will have to find someone to fight their battles for them. They just like starting wars and counting the money they are making off it. That fighting part is beneath them. That's what democrats are for.

Good Lord spare us from another one of those anywhere near state or federal government. Nothing but criminal activity, death and destruction in their wake. Truly pathetic human beings. The truth about all of them will be captured in history for the world to know...no matter what they do to try to alter it. Pitiful bunch.

27. Jeb Bush WILL be a Senator from Florida
At this point, there's nobody who can beat him. Once he's in the Senate seat, and he'll have it for as long as he wants, the maneuvering will start for the presidency.

I don't like it, but there's no Democratic candidate in Florida who can go up against him and win.

Anybody got a more plausible scenario based in fact?

34. Amendment 26 needs to be enacted as follows:
There shall be NO family dynasties trying to take over the country. There shall be no direct descendant of George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush be allowed to attain any kind of office of the President, office of the Senator or office of the House. Furthermore, all direct descendants of the Bush Family Evil Empire (as known as BFEE) will remain in permanent abject poverty without any governmental assistance and they shall earn no more than $50 a week for the rest of their lives. All monies over $50 earned a week shall be paid back directly to the U.S. Treasury as repartition until the entire BFEE dies out or until the year of our Lord, 3000.
