1. He was legally appointed and should be seated. Sad, but the law is the law.
Like the lady from FireDogLake just said on MSNBC, we Dems can't bend the law for political purposes just cuz we're back in power.

3. He was legally appointed. I don't recall Republicans being upset when W stole the
election.

4. Should (legally) be, but probably (illegally) won't.
If he has issues that would normally preclude him being seated, then -those- should be the only ones used to justify whatever actions they (the Senate) wants to take. He was legally appointed by a sitting Governor in accordance with all laws that I know of and it whether the Governor is a saint or Satan himself isn't relevant.

5. Seat Burris with one condition...

He has to wear a Blago wig.

7. It depends...
If he reaches the compromise to not run in 2012 then I can see him getting seated. However, and I do not wish to be rude, he is a has-been trying to be a somebody. His career didn't quite work out for him and now he see's the opportunity to sail forward, be all the things he ever dreamed of, process be damned, he wants to be the magic man!

I question his integrity when he signs on to that sort of an appointment process. If he really is as good, clean, and solid as he claims to be he would have said no, the citizens of Illinois deserve a good Governor to make a good choice.
