Bush is refusing because he has no other choice which won't open the floodgates...

Once this US Attorney scandal breaches the White House, the criminality will shock even those doing the investigating and come spilling out.

So in essence Bush/Rove/Cheney cannot comply.

It is going to take a court order, and the revelations will make Watergate look like a jaywalking offense.

1. Its stall and stonewall time
Which is actually a pretty good strategy for the criminals. By the time this gets through the courts on the subpoena thingy, he'll be just about done with his term

4. I would take bets that that is the plan if subpoenas are issued.

5. If it plays out like Watergate, it will be done within a year or less
That's my memory.

12. Nixon didn't have the media in his pocket, screaming "Partisan politics!"
No FOX. No tainted MTP. No worshipful Tweety. No COWARDS in the Press Room.

6. That's what they're hoping to do. In Nixon's administration
it took only WEEKS for a ruling, but with this bunch of criminals....it could take years.

8. Even if he does drag it out over the remainder of the term
he'll be jeopardized.

Though a quick resolution would be most satisfying, watching * and Cheney and Rove squirm for a year and a half would be satisfying in its own way, IMHO.

11. Right, even if they drag this out until end of chimp's term,
they'll also drag down any Rethug running for office in '08 along with them. Today's approval ratings will make chimp look like the winner on American Idol compared to what they'll be after they choose to drag this crap out for nearly two years.

I want to get to the truth quickly, and see the whole bunch of them forced to testify under oath and watch them squirm and sweat and unsuccessfully try to spin their way out of this mess. But if not, it will still be a good show!

Popcorn, anyone?

3. How will that court rule though? If they rule in favor of the criminals, which
is possible, then what?

7. Chuck Schumer said on Olbermann's show last night
that there are lots of disgruntled people in the DOJ right now. They're bound to talk. The info is going to come out, sooner or later. It would be better for * to be in control of the message, and get it out sooner.

But I believe Schumer's right. Whether the White House talks or not, the info's going to come out.

10. JESUS! Just issue the subpoenas NOW then hound them constantly with...
... what are you hiding? Good Citizens of U.S.A. have the right to know what you are hiding! Waiting too long, as I have been saying all along will do nothing but give them time to sort out a way to... well, you know.

The worst criminals in this country has exercised their rights under the law to break the law, is our own law makers and its selected president.
