BULLSHIT, snow will mess them up man! In Pullman, Wa. they couldn't deliver the mail today cuz of all the snow. In their defense there is a berm about 6 feet high in front of my mailbox.

Me snowblowin'

1. LOL. We get an inch of snow here ...
just south of D.C. and all the kids have an automatic "Snow Day."

Please accept my EMPATHY? I spent my early years growing up (to include shoveling snow) in South Dakota. :hi:

7. Only 'good shots' I'll be getting
will be from tv! Tho I'm happy to see people excited by these events, I don't intend to hang out with everyone outside, in the cold etc., with no view of anything but their backs!

MAYBE tho I'll go to a Starbucks near a retired-people's community, or in an 'actively political' section of DC. Hmmm, may consider that!

4. Cool! I also have a *respectable* Snow Blower but I only started mine up a few times last year
just to make sure that the fuel stabilizer I had added was "doing it's thing."

A few years ago we had about 6 inches (a cat-ass-trophy here) and I was "the most popular girl" in the neighborhood. I joked with a friend, "What's your fancy backyard pool doing for ya now? LOL

6. LOL
I did all of the neighbors sidewalks today, it was miserable and they all worked a full day. Me, I just edited photos and did some printing. When I saw all of them shoveling I rolled my blower over and did it. I think I did 5 driveways and sidewalks today, I'm a little sore.

8. Don't hate me
but that makes me wistful. This time in 2005, I was in northern Japan in snowdrifts up to my waist. Now I'm in the desert southwest, spent Christmas in a t-shirt and shorts.

I miss the silence and stillness snowfall brings, the diffuse and somewhat magical lighting, the occasional roar of avalanches off the rooftop. Low cost, low maintenance winters are groovy and all, but I'd rather be outside in a parka and boots right now. Yeah weird, I know :)
