Currently, in the US, the military and their loved ones are the only people making sacrifices for this "war" in Iraq. Many of us at DU are not in the military and we don't have loved ones involved in this war; we feel empathy towards those directly affected by the occupation, and deep anger at the Bush administration -- but we are not making any real sacrifices.
So, how far would you go to take action?

I have my reasons for it, but I suspect it would not have stopped you from going ahead with this peaceful act of civil disobedience. Moments like this are a test of our true mettle: I don't have the strength.
