Any USFS or BLM volunteers out there? I'm looking for a fire lookout gig for the summer.

I've applied for the current vacancies (3). Two are BLM GS-3/4 positions in Oregon and one is a USFS volunteer position in Oregon.

Any DUers out there with any info on Pacific Northwest volunteer fire lookout jobs? I prefer a volunteer position, living in the lookout tower. But I'll consider a paid or contract position, with all money beyond my expenses donated to fire tower restoration projects.

The fire tower: just like the Ho Chi Minh Trail at night (alone, unarmed, scared shitless).
