It has come to my attention that the House may soon address a resolution concerning Israel's current actions against Hamas in Gaza.

I have read a resolution just passed by the Senate, and its tone is such that it leaves the impression that the U.S. would support virtually ANY action taken by Israel as allegedly defensive. I would like to ask you to do your utmost to work to fashion a House resolution with a DIFFERENT tone, a truly American and Democratic tone.

Such resolution should acknowledge the devastating effect Israel's recent actions have had on the people of Gaza, and must indicate that the American people cannot tolerate, and Congress cannot sanction, such actions.
