This distracted the shit out of me last night during the National Championship game. Every time they showed his big mug, I'd chuckle how the NCAA would allow this. What---next year if Utah makes it we'll see a Mormon verse from Joesph Smith?

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

3. I was more annoyed by the Fox announcers
Edited on Fri Jan-09-09 06:28 AM by Syrinx
Tebow seems like a decent kid, but Kenny and the other guy (can't remember his name, and only remember Kenny because he's Marv Albert's son) sounded like that they wanted to perform "unnatural" acts on him on the fifty-yard line.

It was disgusting. But I'm glad Florida won, because that proves that the SEC is the best conference in the land. :)

Alabama had a narrower margin against the Gators than Oklahoma did, which proves that Alabama's team is better than Oklahoma.

Well, not really. But I can say such things.

:P

4. Yeah they were pretty over the top
At one point early in the game one of them said that if you spend five minutes with Tebow, you're a better person for it.

I've never heard that sort of stroking on a national broadcast. Sometimes local guys can get away with cheerleading and affectionate talk about their team's players, but holy schmoly that almost made me turn the game off.

33. The most hilarious thing about the announcers was when,
just after they'd finished with their 10-minute tongue bath of how the sun rises and sets on him and he poops pink ice cream into the mouths of the hungry, he got nailed by the refs for unsportsmanlike conduct - taunting an Oklahoma player once it was clear that Florida was going to win!

13. Did God Beat The Over/Under??
For once I'd love to see a player on a losing team get in front of microphones and say "well god damned us today...he wanted us to lose". It's always amazing how "god shines" over the winning team and the losers must have been sinners needed to be vanquished. Be glad they weren't smote.

As one who doesn't give a chit about college football...wake me up when it's not the same old tames in the national championship...I find this stuff more amusing than annoying as let's see how this boy's "god" treat him when his team loses or he finds himself facing a real world who doesn't give a rats ass how far he can throw a football.

14. Tebow is actually a pretty good guy
Edited on Fri Jan-09-09 08:31 AM by NeedleCast
I say this as an agnostic who borders on Atheism. He's not one of these guys who just walks around being annoyingly religious. He walks the walk. He's fed hungry children in Malasia and worked in an orphanage in the Phillipines, among other things. Dude has done more charity work at age 21 than most people will do in a life time. Most kids spend their teen years playing video games. He spent them mostly doing charity work.

Yeah, I get a little annoyed at the constant religious referencing, but at least his heart seems in the right place, so maybe we can cut him a little slack.

That site is HILARIOUS!!! I just hope Chuck Norris doesn't find out about it.

- Tim Tebow grinds his coffee with his teeth and boils the water with his own rage.

- It takes Tim Tebow 20 minutes to watch 60 Minutes.

- Tim Tebow doesn't actually write books, the words assemble themselves out of fear.

- For some, the left testicle is larger than the right one. For Tim Tebow, each testicle is larger than the other one.

- Tim Tebow saved the manatees. Then he stiff armed them back on the endandered species list so they wouldnt get cocky.

38. As an atheist, I can cut him some slack.
Mainly because he actually tries to live some of the teachings in the bible. He does charity work, spends his limited free time in 3rd world orphanages, and stays out of trouble.

The Christians I have no respect for are the ones who go to church, but piss on the poor, protest against things like abortion/gay marriage, etc.

If all Christians behaved like Tebow, then they wouldn't be so hypocritical and annoying.

I've heard he's so straight-laced he doesn't even date, I guess because he's opposed to premarital sex. Which has prompted gay rumors, because obviously with his face and body he could get tons of hot women if he wanted them.

Of course if he does end up saying anything about gays or whatever, deal's off.
