14. A Few Of Them "Get It"

I admit, at first I was surprised too that he said he intended to continue the campaign. I was always under the impression that Stage IV cancer was pretty much terminal and how can you campaign under those circumstances?

Then I thought, well, you always here about people when they get a diagnosis such as this doing all their favorite things, living their life, rather than just curling up in some dark corner waiting to die. When I was diagnosed with cancer (non-metastic, 100% curable) a few years ago, my husband (and I) both kept working. We went on vacation. Life goes on, right? Well, for John and Elizabeth Edwards, the campaign is their "career." It is what they love doing. They are committed to each other, yes, but also passionate about helping the country.

And, hearing she should be able to "manage" this condition and keep fighting...

As for the kids what, should no one with kids under 18 run for office because they should be with their kids?

Give me a break. Some of the Freepers are supportive, or at least, praying for Elizabeth.
