11. I'm not chiding you, but we really should use Global Climate Change
and not global warming. Its more accurate and doesn't leave you open to derision from right wingers.(as much)

13. I entirely agree and constantly emphasize that with folks
how this is framed matters, and those two little words matter. It explains it so much more clearly.

14. Much better if slightly more awkward way of framing it
I'm presently in the UK; we've had a two and a half week cold spell here (hasn't been above 37F, and has gone as low as the teens in some parts of the country)...and the right-wing tabloids have had headlines over the past week or so like 'What Global Warming?' :eyes:

8. My friend up there
said that life is not going on as usual because of the temps. And my generally vegetarian other friend up there said that she broke down and bought a below the knee shearling coat and is looking for a beaver hat on Craigslist (hasn't reached the low of buying a new one). Lows have been down to -40.

15. I carry or wear a heavy jacket, a moderate jacket
and a light jacket in my car along with a couple of different caps (no hair) to make sure I don't contract any respiratory madness during this utterly unpredictable weather slide. I have no idea what is going on in Texas but today it was 80 and tomorrow it will be in the 50's and next Thursday it's supposed to be in the 20's. I am so sick of this.
