All this M$M handwringing about "job losses" is bullshit!!
Gee, haven't we all read the headlines here at DU in the last month or two?

50,000 laid off for Company XYZ?

and 2,500 laid off from company %$#?

I mean, it's been going on for MONTHS and MONTHS!!!!

Is today's so called "new unemployment figures" really a surprise?

I say, 'No, they aren't and they were EXPECTED and the fact that the M$M

is saying that Wall St. "took a dive" due to the NEW bleak unemployment figures is

A LIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. You were expecting them to tell the truth?

Why is this the lie that has got your knickers all twisted tonight?

3. No, of course they're lying but the fact the M$M
is making this into a big deal is the lie!! "got your knickers all twisted tonight"...?

My main point, in case you missed it, is that the M$M is trying to upset people....

by reframing this "NEW" unemployment rate and scare people. I'm just saying that it's a load of crap.

We've all known all this and if not, you should have if you read DU or the news with any regularity.

2. Lies = what they do for a living. I scream at the SOBs everytime I see the TV.
Pretty much every word out of their mouths = lies & spin.

It's such a crock! it's such a lie and then they say that Wall St

took a spin downward because they didn't EXPECT it!!

What a f'k..ning LIE!!!

7. Yes, they didn't expect the "downturn" either. But of course, they did.
More than that, IMO - they actively provoked it.

8. I just don't know what to tell you.
If the payroll report deviates far from expectations, the market either applauds or dumps on the news.

This has been happening the first Friday in the first full week of every month for many years now.

That does seem awfully high.

12. Well, come on. We were just told a few weeks ago that the economy
Edited on Fri Jan-09-09 11:52 PM by geckosfeet
has been in recession for over year. It took them a year to screw up the courage to actually say that. Something any bozo on the street could have seen for themselves and they think that just cause they don't say it we don't see it.

The MSM has lost all credibility.

ALL!

Nothing left but info-tainment, titilation and the NPR snooze machine.

18. I notice they're really pushing the "WWII ended the Depression" idea
and I strongly suspect they're lining up WWIII to end this one too. If Iran takes the bait they get their wish.
