I will post this in General Discussion as it may become breaking news tomorrow?
We heard this week that Iran has an aid ship on its way to the Gaza Strip - it's supposed to arrive this weekend. I can't find anything on DU, al Jazeera, or the BBC. Does anyone know anything?

6. Yes, that is the article I saw yesterday. I wonder why it is the only one.
I guess we have to wait for more until it's day over there.

I can just imagine how it will be carried on Murdoch, Time-Warner, GE, Viacom plus, Disney - someone will say it's holding missiles and aid will be forgotten.

for the same reason there are no sympathetic articles/stories about gaza's torment in msm: its israel's pr m.o., followed by that of u.s. NOT COINCIDENTAL, imo. We're all being manipulated.

I would LIKE to post this on Latest News.

16. The Press TV article was out on the net yesterday. We may have to wait until the
morning and any morning might be too late.

Many people said that we don't have the capacity to attack Iran. Many people say that Israel can't afford to be obliterated at close range.

Words coming from the neo-cons, PNAC, and Israel leaders seem to say the desire is dead - they say the 'can't' bomb Iran. They are the last ones anyone can believe.

17. How nice to read
that 'bad' Iran is providing live-saving goods where 'we' can't/won't/prohibit others.

Iran aid ship nearing Gaza'
Fri, 09 Jan 2009 19:23:49 GMT
An Iranian ship carrying humanitarian aid for Palestinians is scheduled to arrive at the port of Gaza in the coming days, a report says.

The ship, which carries medicine and foods, has passed through the Suez Canal and awaits for legal permissions to enter Gaza, IRIB reported.

According to the report, it is likely that the ship will dock at the port of Gaza on Saturday.

8. I wouldn't put anything past Iran.
A lot of the missiles fired by Hamas were smuggled in from Iran.

11. Wanna know who sold our nuclear components and technology to Iran?
Edited on Sat Jan-10-09 12:08 AM by higher class
The weapons trade is one of the reasons for the multi decade war. It mighty nations can afford to buy and use it against a nation of refugees, do refugees just give up or do they try to buy something to defend their families? Don't get too worked up about Iran selling something - the U.S. probably has sold to the Palestinians - we always sell to both sides, perhaps not on the same day. There is a long history of that. We definitely partner and sell to or buy from Iran even though they are the last of the axis of evil countries.

Khan - Cheney Bush
Khashoggi - Reagan Bush

Image the photo of Cheney and Rumsfeld selling arms to Iraq to use against Iran.

To this day - the U.S. deals with Iran - and usually Israelis are the middle brokers.

Just some highlights. The list is long.

We cannot live under the illusion of enemies being dictated to us - the weapons trade is another universe and the people involved in it laugh at us for our gullibility. Which school do you want to enroll in - the school of feed doled out to us by our propaganda networks with themes and strategies worked out by the think tanks while their 'experts' explain the propaganda to us on tv and through the papers? Or the real story which spreads out from independent investigators on the underground because our Congress approves of weapons trading and our networks are not going to spoil the profits.

9. If Israel and the U.S. claim that, there will be people who will believe it.
If the U.S. or Israel claim they have intelligences that says that Iran loaded missiles, there will be believers. If the U.S. or Israel makes this claim, we are in dire straits. The U.S. and Israel don't give a damn about proving themselves and they are so cock sure at their leader level that it may not make a difference in a long, horrible clash. Can the U.S. and Israel start something with Iran in the last 10 days of this regime?

Is there someone in the know that can say whether there is a record of Iran helping Palestinians with money and medicine - a record that exceeds what Arabic nations are doing for the Palestinians?

Are Palestinians Sunni, Shite, mixed?

Gaza Strip. A refugee camp that became an open prison with dead refugees, injured refugees, dazed regugees, terrorized refugees, heartsick refugees, lost refugees, hungry refugees, dying refugees. Mighty Mouse Israel - not a cartoon Palestine/Gaza.

Has anyone thanked the UN aides who tried to help? If not, here is my thanks.

15. its really sickening..
we've been attacking Iran since we went into Iraq. I did read it reported a while ago that if the United States failed to act, Israel would go it alone. It's kind of hard to believe after reading about it all of these years, that it might actually happen. But then..everything is kind of hard to believe even though I'm seeing it in living color.

18. Two words
"USS Liberty"

Count on it. Netanyahu wants war with Iran, and Chimpy needs to "outdo" the Somalia "going away present" that his daddy left for Clinton.
