CNN says the pelicans are pooping out.
Poor things are eating contaminated plankton or something. :( Global climate change, we are not working fast enough.

1. And left to its own devices, the private sector will do nothing to correct the problem
This is a clear case of where the Government has to step in and corral the industries that are polluting the water, destroying the pelicans' food sources, and spewing carbon dioxide into the air.

7. Whew
I love going out to the Outer Banks in NC and watching pelicans.

They're so freaking cool. We took a sea kayak out on the Pamlico Sound and watched them dive bomb for food. Freaking amazing. Beautiful birds.
