The first order of business for PE Obama......
...should be to undo all of Bush's signing statements and remove the Bush name from any government entities or possessions. The ship named after GHW Bush should be renamed. He has done nothing for America to warrant this honor. The Bushes did nothing other than run up the national debt, lose jobs, and lower Americans standard of living. Add to that the loss of American civil liberties, and I would say both should be tried and imprisoned!

2. I think President Obama should get behind this one

Water-treatment plant could be named after President Bush

By JESSE McKINLEY
The New York Times

SAN FRANCISCO — Reagan has his highways. Lincoln has his memorial. Washington has the capital (and a state, too). But President Bush may soon be the sole president to have a memorial named after him that you can contribute to from the bathroom.

From the Department of Damned-With-Faint-Praise, a group going by the regal-sounding name of the Presidential Memorial Commission of San Francisco is planning to ask voters here to change the name of a prizewinning water-treatment plant on the shoreline to the George W. Bush Sewage Plant.

The renaming would take effect Jan. 20, when a new president is sworn in. And regardless of the measure's outcome, supporters plan to commemorate the inaugural with a "synchronized flush" of hundreds of thousands of San Francisco toilets, an action that would send a flood of water toward the plant, now named the Oceanside Water Pollution Control Plant.

4. I made that switch 8 years ago
I was one of the many way back then who could see what we were in for. Haven't been wrong on any of it yet, albeit some were a little worse than what I had originally envisioned.

5. Me, too!
After his term as governor of Texas, I knew the country was in for a major screwing! He has fucked up everything he has ever touched, with no exceptions.

7. I'd like to see a push for a cease fire in Gaza.
Then the release of an energy program that calls for development of alternative energy sources, conservation and tax credits for American made hybrid vehicles. Residential solar systems should also be subsidized.

Let's get our country moving in the right direction from the first step.
