Crimes of Blago vs crimes of Bush...
God, I find it so sarcastically funny how the Illinois congress is reacting to Blagojevich's problems Illinois politicians and how they are acting like someone has a torch lit under their asses for offenses that probably many, many politicians carry out each and every day.

What is ridiculous is when Blago's "crimes" are contrasted to Bush's "decisions."

My god, as a country, our priorities are so screwed up. Just because some mobster want-to-be is caught on tape acting like the prick he is, while doing what so many others do and because he is disliked by other pols, let's impeach him but forget about impeaching the two most deserved assholes in American history.

Now, don't get me wrong, I don't give a flying shit if Blago is ran out of town on a split rail fence. What bothers me is these craven politicians are too willing to act when the obvious popular winds are blowing one way.

1. If there are tapes of Bush authorizing torture, I'd like to hear them...

But there aren't. That's the main problem here, the illegality was not wiretapped, they had it hidden and off record.

We haven't heard the Blago tapes, but Fitzgerald is going to have to cough them up at some future date, so it's assumed he's not full of crap. (Or the people who were involved in recording them.)

Tapes are powerful evidence.

In Watergate, there were tapes, hence the action. There was nothing to be fudged or distorted, the audio record was there and it was outrageous to the public, which eventually caused the various events of Watergate to come to a conclusion.

3. Not enough, what was needed...
were tapes of him describing enhanced interrogation as torture, because they have redefined torture to be enhanced interrogation. No one would admit publicly something that would get them in hot water, even that moron managed to parse the language enough that it could blow past America.
