Worst. F*cking. Government. in U.S. history
Watching Biden, McCain, Levin, and the rest of the sickly gray incompetents bloviate and grandstand over meaningless non-binding resolutions while soldiers are ripped to shreds by IEDs is going to push me over the edge.

Oh, and all hail General Petraeus, the new golden boy savior of Iraq. He’s getting a tongue bath by the guardians of our national discourse. BushCo has its reset – another “six to nine months” by most estimates.

How many fucking years is this shit going to go on?

1. As always, a lot of talk and not much action.
Hopefully, when Pelosi and Murtha and Co. return from Iraq, things will happen. I believe once Pelosi sees first hand what it's like over there, the death, destruction, the new *HUGE BEYOND ALL IMAGINATION* U.S. Embassy, etc., she will have a renewed interest in stopping the war immediately.

At least, I hope she will. I don't see how anyone could possibly visit over there and not be impacted for a very long time at what they saw.

4. They need to get out of the insular bubbleworld
of the "Green Zone" and smell the unsanitized shit beyond the walls and blockades of the Green Zone. I wonder how much, if any, of the real Iraq these VIPs ever see.

2. If General Petraeus does the same....
...kind of job while commanding American troops, that he did when he was responsible for the training of the Iraqi Army, US troops are already f***ed.

The man is a bootlicking asskisser, and doesn't give a rat's ass about the troops he's about to help Chimpy and Vader kill. The General will be nice and safe in the Green Zone while the troops will be
having slumber parties with the Iraqis, in "secure" areas that can be breached by a blind man.

And we can thank those in the Senate, who once again kept their powder dry, and failed to bring up the fact that if his training program was so great why has the security problem gotten worse?

3. It is going to be a long hard struggle
They ain't gonna give up their power until we take it away from them. One Pol at a time. In the meantime, they deserve an award...

5. Has anyone got a spare resolution laying around that might be BINDING?
I agree, what's point of non binding anything?

7. You know, I'm just tired of the excuses. The Dems share a huge load
of the blame for this disaster, begining with a string of electoral losses that rendered them powerless to stop this fucking disaster of an administration.

Whatever the reasons may be for our current nightmare, I am just fed up with our government's inability to put an end to it.

I'm looking at the bottom line.
