I'll not whine about the loss of the DUzy's;
I'm just happy that we had them at all.

No matter what was goin on in my life, I knew
I could always just search GD for the term 'DUzy'
and find something that would put a smile on my face.
How wonderful is THAT?

JeffR, thank you so much for all the work you did.
It was a rare and special project you undertook, and
you did a great job of bringing the concept up to
its full potential, week after week.

And they wouldn't have been as good if someone else had done them.

JeffR didn't simply provide a list of "funny quotes"....
Every week, he edited & editorialized a long list of
unrelated quips & witticisms into a body of work
that had a FLOW all its own....Give him 1000 PMs and 5 days,
and he'll give you a thread that was written by 100 random folks,
but is somehow still a JefR product.

The DUzy's had a rhythm and timing to their composition
that a lot of those young wannabe comedians who score
that half-hour on "Comedy Central Presents" would do well
to learn from.

And in the end, he observed the first rule of Show Business:
"Always leave them wanting more".

KUDOS to JeffR: A good man, a great DUer, one of my favorite
imaginary friends, and one HELL of a model American! :patriot:

RIP, 'DUzy Awards'...you deserve it.
