The Final Press Conference: Portriat of a Narcissistic Psychopath
by Jesselyn Radack

Biggest mistake of his presidency, according to Bush:

the "Mission Accomplished" banner.

Biggest disappointments of Bush's presidency:

the revelation of torture at Abu Ghraib.

the failure to find WMD in Iraq.

President Bush is incapable of self-reflection, let alone guilt or regret -- a common trait of psychopaths, as is glib and superficial charm, a grandiose sense of self-worth, pathological lying, lack of remorse, shallow affect, callousness and lack of empathy, early behavioral problems, lack of realistic long-term goals, and failure to accept responsibility for one's actions. Bush identifies the failure to find WMD in Iraq as "a significant disappointment," but not his decision to invade Iraq in the first place? Seriously?

...............

Criminal versatility is a hallmark. From torture, to warrantless wiretapping, to signing statements: who could think of such diverse and diabolical ways to evade the law? President Bush not only disregarded the rule of law, but took this disdain for rules to the extreme. He did it, enjoys what he did, and would do it again. Normally such people are housed at the Super-Max or a hospital for the criminally insane, not the White House.

3. I wish Bush all the best....
...as he flees to Paraguay to avoid the summons from the world court and all those who wish to hold him accountable for all the atrocities his administration has committed. MAy he live long and suffer!

4. And that psychopath was propped up and enabled the entire time by the WH press corps, the media,
and the entire Establishment.

To my mind that is the scariest thing of all.

6. I wonder if...
George Sr ever sits up at night wondering if, and where, he and Babs might have gone wrong in raising this blight on society.

Notice I didn't say I wonder if he AND Babs wonder, because quite frankly, I think she's probably as sick as, or even sicker than, her son. George Sr seems at least marginally capable of self-reflection and conscience...

9. That's the first time they've taken responsibility for the banner, btw
At the time they claimed the sailors sponaneously requested a banner and put it up themselves. Elisabeth Bumiller tried to trace it back and nobody would take responsibility for it, even though it was clearly designed by the Scott Sforza WH shop that designed every other Bush backdrop - it even used the identical flag graphic they'd used many times before. But they didn't know anything about it. Those darn sailors were the ones that dunnit.

11. Going to war on faulty intel was not a failure
because that's not how it happened. The intel was fine: Saddam had no WMDs and posed no threat to us.

He's disappointed because reality didn't match his ideologically based preconceived ideas, and because his crimes were exposed.

13. Profile of a stalker...
Edited on Tue Jan-13-09 04:17 PM by Baby Snooks
I really am struck by your use of the term "narcissistic psychopath" because while there isn't a psychological "profile" of a stalker most seem to be "narcissistic sociopaths."

They turn psychopathic, as in homicidal, about two minutes before they decide to pick up a gun along with the restraining order and go kill their victim. Many probably stuck firecrackers in the mouths of frogs and then lit the firecrackers and tossed the frogs in the air and watched as the frogs exploded when they were teenagers.

The sad reality is George W Bush appears to be perfectly normal to quite a few Americans. Scary thought, isn't it?
