Is Sen Nelson (FL) not the creepiest thing in the world.. He looks like an alien

I'm not sure why people keep voting for him.. but last time the alt. was even scarier.

You've never seen the competition, have you. And you thought Nelson is creepy looking. :evilgrin:

2. Florida doesn't produce much that's noteworthy

in terms of politicians for a couple of reasons. First, it's a southern state with deeply ingrained southern conservatism. Second, it's a retiree destination and retirees tend to be a starkly conservative bunch, trying to make their life savings last until they're good and ready to die.

I'm afraid Blue Dog Nelson is about the best we can expect from the state as a whole, even though some of the urban centers are slowly abandoning the hidebound southern conservatism.

3. Bob Graham was by far the best this state has produced, federally speaking, in a long time.

Lawton Chiles was also good. Florida is, SADLY, one of the states that has been trending more republican rather than less.

Hey at least we went blue this year!
