Time magazine, http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1871113,00.html, says that it's "disappointment". I thought about it and decided that I had a better one: "irresponsible". They've governed so poorly, missed so many opportunities, and broken so many laws in the name of "freedom" or what-ever-the-hell they were trying to accomplish. We the people had no government and the nation has begun to crumble.

Bush failed to pay down the debt, even being handed a near $200 billion/year surplus
Bush failed to seek advice from professionally qualified experts, instead chose ignorant cronies.
