..... stand outside, no matter the weather? Are there no safe/warm/cool/dry indoor spaces from which they can say their propitious little scripts?

And why do the studio achors always feel compelled to tell presumably intelligent correspondents to 'be careful or 'stay safe' or 'get warm' or some other equally moronic platitudinous segue to the rest of the nooz du jour?

Yep, they're outside under hot lights...for the minimum. The second the cameras go off, they're back inside having a hot toddy.

I laugh at the local news jokers who always have to show me that it's snowing or how cold it is outside. One local channel always send a reporter outside their studios as if that's some kind of brave act. Then they oogle like school kids. Sheesh, it's winter in the Midwest...it's not breaking news that it snows and gets fuckin' cold here. But then, it's either that or reporting on Blago. I guess, I'll take the idiot standing in the cold.

Somehow, the fact the corporate media is out in the cold does have some delicious irony to it...
