American Life League:KRISPY KREME CELEBRATES OBAMA WITH PRO-ABORTION DOUGHNUTS
Washington, DC (15 January 2009) – The following is a statement from American Life League president, Judie Brown.
"The next time you stare down a conveyor belt of slow-moving, hot, sugary glazed donuts at your local Krispy Kreme you just might be supporting President-elect Barack Obama's radical support for abortion on demand – including his sweeping promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act as soon as he steps in the Oval Office, Jan. 20.

And I thought all I wanted was glaze. Talk about completely "off the rails!!"
I posted earlier about the free donut. I didn't know I had inadvertently entered
the culture wars. Oh well!

1. This woman and her group are off the chain.
They see a pro-abortion agenda in practically fucking everything ever made.

But she needn't worry about this particular person going to Krispy Kreme. I just flat don't care for their doughnuts.

3. It's pretty obvious, isn't it?
Doughnut, hole in the middle, right where a baby should always be? Call your congressman to pass the FADS act (Freedom of Access to Doughnut Shops).

4. Anti-Choicers have only one thought pattern
Regardless of the subject matter, the hardline anti-choicers will turn any subject into a platform for them to rail against choice.

Simply boggles the mind.

And certainly unfair to Krispy Kreme to be used in this manner in my opinion.

6. As Obama fixes the health care, I hope there is easy access to mental health services.
I think there are a few individuals who really need some assistance.

Two days in and now it's doughnuts! Oh, thank you very much...:P

Note to self: never click on link with 'pro-abortion DOUGHNUTS' as the header. As unappetizing as it sounds, the inner Homer takes over.

"Can you see the image of the virgin mary in a krispy kreme doughnut?" is the segment of the culture wars I'm focusing on this week.

15. I've gone a few rounds with Ms. Brown.
If she doesn't like what you have to say, she shuts you out. Sort of like the kid who covers his ears and screams LALALALALALALA.

On another site where she has a forum I have taken her on about such issues as:

-- presidential elections, where she encourages people to 1) support candidates who will almost certainly guarantee a split vote between the two major candidates, meaning NOTHING will be done to further HER agenda; or 2) not vote at all. She firmly believes that the GOP is the party to lead this nation out of the baby-killing wilderness, despite decades of evidence to the contrary. Since 2000, she has been a firm backer of Allan Keyes -- perhaps his ONLY backer, as far as I know.

-- Girl Scouts and their hidden pro-choice agenda fueled by Planned Parenthood and how their cookie proceeds go toward funding programs that encourage premarital sex and artificial birth control among teen girls (I effectively shut her down with actual GS materials that proved she was full of shit).

-- her belief that miscarriages are God's way of punishing those women who have used ABC in the past.

-- calling out the Muscular Dystrophy Association because of its support of fetal stem cell research, when, in fact, it did not (at the time) support such research (she actually backtracked on that one and apologized).

When I now reply to her nonsense, I get nothing in return, which leads me to think I've been blacklisted. Oh well. Life goes on, ignorance endures.

She has discouraged support of such charities as the American Cancer Society and the Susan G. Komen Foundation; criticized Catholic Relief Services; and other such silliness that discredits, in my opinion, the entire pro-life movement. She also has no problem with the death penalty, and discredits most modern, enlightened Catholic thought on life issues (such as seamless garment).

This particular part of the movement shows how rabid, dangerous, and one-track some on the "pro-life" side are. So, good luck posting comments on her site. I predict that, within an hour, they will be gone and there will be no more critical screeds appearing on her particular piece of bandwidth.

11. Considering that the Bush Crime Family/Carlyle Group owns Dunkin Donuts
It's not too surprising that there would be some sort of right wing campaign against their main competition.

I'd go grab some donuts for breakfast, but the nearest Krispy Kreme is 30 miles away, and burning gas to spite these bastards wouldn't make much sense.

12. They've got Krispy Kreme and Dunkin in Penn Station.
I like to grab a Krispy Kreme before I get on the train to visit Mom. Next time I think I'll bring her one, too.

16. You can't go more than a quarter-mile without running into a Dunkin's around here
Edited on Fri Jan-16-09 01:21 PM by rox63
I think my city has at least a dozen DD's, if not more. Probably more, since I believe that both our local hospitals have a Dunkin's in their lobbies. And there are Dunkin's counters in some gas station mini-marts as well.

13. D'OH NUTS: The Religious Right Comes Down On Krispy Kreme
The American Life League has finally discovered the secret, immoral ingredient that makes Krispy Kreme doughnuts so very addictive: fetuses. And they are not happy.

Having been tipped off to Krispy Kreme's dastardly scheme to make their doughnuts even more addictive than abortion on demand by their insidious use of the word "choice" in a recent free promotion, American Life League president "Not Downtown" Judie Brown had this to say:

The next time you stare down a conveyor belt of slow-moving, hot, sugary glazed donuts at your local Krispy Kreme, you just might be supporting President-elect Barack Obama's radical support for abortion on demand - including his sweeping promise to sign the Freedom of Choice Act as soon as he steps in the Oval Office, Jan. 20.

It's all part of their plan! More abortions means more Krispy Kremes, and more of this nation's souls will be eaten away along with their arteries!

14. A free "donut of choice?" Obviously they mean the CHOICE TO MURDER BABIES.
I am not actually making this up. This is the logic of the article.
