10. It should remain "Democratic Underground" and here's why.......
We won this election, we have a majority, however lets face it, this will not last. Eventually the Republicans will return and seize the White House one day. When that day comes "Democratic Underground" will fit in well yet again. Who knows when the Republicans will win again, maybe in a few terms, maybe 2012, who knows. No Party is perfect ,the Democrats will screw it up one day and give way to the Republicans yet again, when that day comes the name "Democratic Underground" will be appropriate.

11. And more along those lines...
... what the grassroots thinks and feels is not necessarily what the people at the top of the party think and feel.

(i.e., nobody is bribing us)

17. Well, enough posters around here certainly end up blowing themselves up
But I'd like to think we're a little bit saner & more relevant.

Plus the Weathermen didn't have a Lounge.

Edited on Fri Jan-16-09 08:58 PM by TahitiNut
  It'd make "sod off" a favored piece of advice?

Besides, DU's Boot Hill is filling up and that's the real "underground."
