Heardit on MSNBC, went to the Circuit City website, and it's gone/replaced by a single page explaining the closing.
Any guess which store will be next?

3. the site says they expect to be liquidated by the end of March.
my guess is that this first weekend the prices won't be that low, but the big items might go pretty fast anyway. I'm certainly not going to buy anything that's not a substantial saving. all that aside, I don't know how many people this leaves jobless, but it's not a small number.

4. Why do they hate America?
Are you also shutting down your operations in Canada?

* No, our Canadian operations will continue. They are not affected by the liquidation of Circuit City's U.S. operations. The Canadian operations employ approximately 3,000 associates.
