1. Lots of food

The chickens will be barbequed (in the oven), the ribs, too. Lots of tortilla chips, salsa, guacamole. Beer and champagne. Diet Pepsi. Deviled eggs. Pizza. And, when it all winds down and the others come home from downtown DC (the smart folks are staying home, watching the big TVs), we'll order Chinese.

All of this, of course, will be served on a table of rousing cheers and screams and tears of joy.

2. Get ready to watch the 3 hour "Lost" marathon the next day

to the eighty-year "Lost" marathon we've just about survived.

5. I'm taking Monday-Wednesday off and going to a couple of parties on Tuesday.

One during the day and a different one at night.

Monday I'm volunteering in the afternoon sorting books for an annual book sale. The proceeds go to literacy programs.

Sunday I'll probably be glued to the teevee all day.

Tomorrow I volunteered to help with a mailing for our county Dems, so I'll probably miss most of the teevee until later in the day. I'll have to set my DVR to catch some of the train coverage on the 'span.

6. I will be spending the week with my 16 month old grandson

and spending the day with him also. his mom and dad will be in Jamaica, so I will be having a wonderful time. we will watch the inauguration together, trash the house, and eat ice cream. He is my little doll. I can think of no one I would rather spend the day of the inauguration with but him. :)

12. Took the day off!

My friend is coming over and we're going downtown to watch the Inauguration in Union Square (SF). I'm looking forward to being outside and with our unseasonable warm weather here, that should be fun!

Then I will inflate my Bop Bush punching bag one last time and let people do whatever it is they'd like to do...I think maybe it doesn't last the night. LOL!

I'm seriously considering getting some sage and cleansing the air, as suggested by Rachel's guest tonight. Couldn't hurt! :-)

Comrade Snarky will be back in the afternoon, and I can't really predict what happens because I have NO idea how I'm going to be by evening. I may be completely spent or so high on goofballs that I'll find the nearest party and dance all night.
