Today, a dog named Wema will draw that attention to Fairmont.

A search on www.petfinder.com - one of the most popular methods for adopting shelter dogs in the United States - reveals only four Portuguese water dogs are available for adoption from U.S. shelters.

Looks like we have a new 1st dog and her name is Wema.



FIRST DOG? — Wema, a Portuguese water dog at the Martin County Humane Society in Fairmont, is being billed as a potential pet for Pres.-elect Barack Obama and his family.

If the Obama family adopts her it will be wonderful. If another family adopts her it will be wonderful. Wema needs a home & a family to love her, that's all that matters.
