My mom and I were talking on the phone today; when I called she was obviously holding back chortles. She says, I just had a funny conversation. She had just gotten a phone call asking for Mr or Mrs blabla. She says this is Mrs Blabla.

Background: my stepdad is an old school Repub, which means to me fiscally conservative and socially liberal, and he did NOT vote for Bush. My mom calls herself a no-party person who always votes her mind and the issues - it just so happens that that policy means she has always voted Democratic.

Anyway, so dude on the phone says, I'm calling from the RNC in Washington, DC, and I'm sure you're as disappointed as I am about the election. My mom, holding back a guffaw, says she's a Democrat and actually, she's quite pleased with the election. Dude replies

I guess dude is having trouble finding anyone who will admit to being a puke these days.

My ma couldn't stop laughing, and neither can I. How's that taste, pukes?
