Okay, I'm dating myself, AND, I rarely post - most of you generally say what I think, so, why bother? Anyhow, I'm a child of the 70s and 80s and Eddie Murphy Raw still has me howling 20+ years later.

Yes, I'm female, and the salad, and "the Bitch will have a Chab'liss", and the "I think, I'll take Half!!" still crack me up.

I don't know what you're getting at, but it's got a whole "stream of consciousness" thing going on, it's almost zen. Fairfax must be a lot more fun than it was last time I was there.

I came across Raw, unedited, on tv late tonight, and it is timeless. Still laugh my ass off to this day.

(Actually, Fairfax was a cool place to grow up -- my friends and I had too much fun -- when Georgetown is only 20 minutes away, you're 16 with a fake ID, and Winston's or Crazy Horse or the Cellar Door (live shows only) are where the action is - or was - you do what you have to do! - Good Times!!!!)

It's not the same, nowadays, I'm sure - and we grew up too fast, no doubt, but my friends and I agree, we're better "adults" for it.

DC in the 70s and 80s WAS a lot of fun, no doubt about it. Too many clubs, too many stories to tell.

Delirious was great - no dispute...

but, I misquoted the hamburger bit...it just came up and I was quoting from memory, mea culpa. It was a "welfare burger..." with big chunks of green pepper and wonder bread.
