1. Seriously, who let him pick that tie? I don't like that tie. AND what's up with the lighting.
He looks tired, and where's that 1000 watt smile that calms the hell out of people.

4. You're kidding, right?
This is the picture that will be in every federal office in the country. A bit of gravitas can go a long way. As for the tie, not crazy about it myself, but no one asked me.

6. I don't think its nearly the best pic of our new Pres. AND yes, I'm serious.
His real smile is so calming. The lighting makes his eyes look tired.. and that tie looks straight out of the 80's. I'm assuming since most of his things are being re-routed every few days, he doesn't know where most of his things are at. It may quite possibly be a tie he dug up from the 80's and he didn't where a white shirt.. a light blue? To be the official pic, its not really all that good.

12. I work in a federal office, and I couldn't tell you what Bush's pic looks like
because I refuse to ever look at it.

I just saw Obama in Phillie with a beautiful lavender tie...really nice. This blue one will do just fine, imo, and I cannot wait to see it and his face replace that repulsive inhumane "thing" that's been on the office wall for nearly a decade.

14. So much better than the last Pres, by far. But then again, I'm partial to the
pic of him bare-shirted... I don't think that can be the official pic of the Pres. Office.

15. He does look good in sunglasses, too
but I think he has to be careful not to "movie star" himself too much since his big focus must be the people, not his image. Also, I dislike that coat-over-the-shoulder look. It's too Gary Condit.

3. It seems to me to be Way to Creepy to have a picture of the President hanging anywhere
Edited on Sat Jan-17-09 09:27 AM by ThomWV
Maybe I can live with a picture of George Washington hanging on the living room wall but anyone elected after him is sort of creepy if you ask me.

5. I feel exactly the same way and as to Washington, only if it was originally from
the 1700's. An original Stuart would be nice. :)

7. In my office, maybe. But having a framed picture of the President
anywhere else in the home is not only creepy, it borders on "Dear Leader".

9. How about the bathroom?
Dad has this plate of Nixon proudly hanging over his toilet. Seems somehow appropriate, though I must suggest he update that with 43. I bet he couldn't stand to look at him though.

There's a special place right above my toilet that I'm gonna hold for it.

13. It might be cooler...
if you forged his handwriting and wrote something like "Dear ThomWV, You are one of my better angels. Thanks, Obama"

17. You don't KNOW from creepy until you've worked in a fed building
with Psycho-Chimpy's mug staring down at you for nearly a decade.
