I am really holding my breath over the weekend and through monday over the Pardons
No news is good news and I'm just praying that the son of a bitch doesn't do it. Let it be it pride, let it be it ignorance, let it be it the spotless mind of a delusional fool, let it be any reason on earth but please let us hope that he doesn't pardon himself and his henchmen.

1. Any precedent for a prez pardoning himself? Wouldn't that mean
he'd have to admit he screwed up?

3. I don't think Bush can pardon himself, only Obama could do that like Ford
I doubt Bush can issue any blanket pardons for himself or anyone not yet legally charged with wrongdoing but it won't be necessary if Dems and Obama continue glossing over past wrongdoing and declining serious investigation and accountability of Bush Admin wrongdoing.

5. Theoretically, he can pardon himself.....
There's no precedent for it, but read the language of the Constitution, Article II, Section 2. The power is absolute, and not subject to review.

I wouldn't put it past the sleazy little bastard to do exactly what you fear most. Why wouldn't he? What does he have to lose?

7. Four days of tension ... as a news addict under normal conditions, I'm gonna be fixated ...
... until Tuesday afternoon. There's just so much that CAN happen ... and experience tells me that 'surprises' are the norm. I can't put ANYTHING past the despicable cabal being evicted from D.C.
