We were betting on a "dirty bomb" terraist attack or a massive outbreak of smallpox - etc.

I'm still shocked they didn't try it but I guess they managed to suck the life out of the world in time to pass the steaming pile off to someone else.

tomorrow, as I see it, is the most dangerous day of his pResidency.

There's no telling what he might pull, but I have to trust that there is a military fail-safe operation in place, like the one they put over Nixon when he was melting down in the White House as his resignation loomed.

But, I keep thinking - and I hate myself for thinking this way - that tomorrow and/or Tuesday would be perfect days for something really horrid to happen to the US. I also believe I'm not the only one thinking that way, and that our security services are at High Alert everywhere.

Jesus, but these past fucking eight years have left me thinking like a goddamned prisoner.

But with the way the economy is in a shambles, and the shape he has this country in, I think he's ready to dump his mess into someone else's lap and ride off into the sunset. He probably figures "this is someone else's problem now".

In one way - bush-cheney inc. will still be with us. You would be hard pressed to find a part of our country and government that is better than it was when bush-cheney inc. first walked into office.

the bush-cheney Messacy (Mess+legacy) will be with us for quite awhile. If congress grows some balls and investigates - I'm sure we'll find even bigger messes.
