Better believe it.

Bush's Last 24 Hours Inside White House to Be 'Mostly Private'

With only one day left in his presidency, President Bush's last 24 hours inside the White House will be "mostly private," White House aides told FOXNews.com on Monday.

The president began his day by chatting with a host of foreign leaders, including Prime Minister Gordon Brown of England, President Mikhail Saakashvili of Georgia, President Dmitry Medvedev and Prime Minister Vladimir Putin of Russia, President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea, President Shimon Peres of Israel, Prime Minister Taro Aso of Japan, former President Vicente Fox of Mexico, President Silvio Berlusconi of Italy and President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, President Nicolas Sarkozy of France, and Chancellor Angela Merkel of Germany.

SNIP...

After leaving the White House on Tuesday, the Bushes will head to Midland, Texas, for a "welcome home ceremony" before arriving at their new home in Dallas, aides said.

"The president does not plan to be in the limelight for a good while -- for the next year," Fratto said.

I hope this isn't the last day of his life as a guest of the federal government.

With a bit of luck and planning, he just might see the rest of his days spent in Leavenworth.

There, he might find time to think about what a wasted opportunity he had.

Doubt it, though.

Eight years as pretzeldunce, and all he did was evil.

11. Does a solipsist have a conscience?
Or is it sociopaths who don't? Or psychos?

Art as history:

President Kill by Carl Oxley III

No matter. The guy is a nutjob who hasn't cared squat about anybody else -- outside of his family, friends and cronies who could front him money or hooch -- for eight years.

However, since I will be in class all day and night tomorrow, please feel free to post it here while I am away. ;)

12. The things that monkey has done to America and the planet...
Killing and torturing children is at, or near, the top.

Of course, ignoring the environment to the point where the planet may soon be uninhabitable is up there.

5. Consider his next year
sitting in his new study in his Dallas McMansion, recarpeted with his worn Oval Office carpet (yes, all presidents take that with them), his desk completely clean, telephone in its cradle and silent. There will be no cadre of aides to seal his bubble by telling him how great he is 24/7. He'll be alone with whatever thoughts intrude into his empty head. If he sticks his nose out into the real world, he'll be informed of his failure.

I would much rather see this incredibly limited man than be him.

I guess that's the start of compassion.

16. His 'mind,' Abu Ghraib.
Well stated, Warpy. It's one thing to try and fail, it's another thing to never try and be hailed. It may be the only thing Monkey is qualified to do is play video games -- and even that would prove difficult for him.

One humiliated exterminator, disagrees, however: DeLay said a Bush better than a Kennedy

35. Notice that his "welcome home" thing is in Midland and not Dallas
Between the TX/Dallas Dems that despise him and would great him with protests and the local repukes that blame him for all the local repuke offices lost, he will most likely find himself not getting a very warm "welcome home".
He'll no doubt have to sneak into Dallas after dark into his gated community Mcmansion.
With all the rumors about his and pickle's relationship of late, it will be interesting to see if they actually reside in the same city. Maybe him at the ranch and her in the Dallas house (that he has said he has not even seen yet because "Laura picked it out").

36. Bush's home in Dallas isn't gated yet...
The Bush house is literally 4-5 miles down the road from my home precinct in the rich part of town. For the time being, you can drive right up to the house and check it out. But you can't park in that cul-de-sac - the neighbors have had enough of the traffic.

Two weeks ago, the Secret Service approached Bush's future neighbors to discuss the prospect of gating off the cul-de-sac and the road it's attached to. Last week, they got the go-ahead for the gate from our city council while simultaneously shooting down a conservation effort in an East Dallas neighborhood that crispini has been involved in.

So if you want to get your photos of that home on Daria Place, you'd better do it now before the gate slams shut and the Secret Service begins patrolling the neighborhood.
