5. Nah
I'd rather President Obama not have to concern himself with cleaning ass-prints off his new door.

3. We're going to be hearing much much more about what Bush has done
I've always felt that we're only seeing the tip of the iceberg. usually it takes 20 years or so to find out what really went on, but this time we're probably going to hear about more crimes faster.

9. I agree.
Such a horrible thing to do. Create a war based on lies, and send a bunch of innocent troops to their deaths. All for lies.

Somebody will need to be held responsible for that, and pay the price for their lies.

10. I hate to read into things, but frankly, I'm picking up a hint of a liberal
bias in your post, madam.

12. Hello, Tangerine LaBamba.
I am looking at the clock, counting hours down to tomorrow mid-day, when an actual grown-up assumes the presidency.

It's not that I don't LIKE jabbering baboons, mind you, it's just that I don't feel they're appropriate to lead the free world.

And the screams of elation you are hearing are coming from my house in advance of the inauguration of Barack Obama.

I'm in a pretty damn good mood.

13. The prisoners are being set free.........
That's how it feels to me. Like we've been held against our wills for so long, it's hard to believe that it's finally ending.

I have a countdown screen saver, but I keep watching it, convinced that something's going to go wrong.

Who doesn't love a good jabbering baboon? Clearly, the rightwingnuts LOVE them, and so does the Supreme Court. Me, I could live without them, having a former husband in my past.

But, let me not be unkind to jabbering baboons, comparing them to that blight who's hunkered down and squatted in the Oval Office for eight years. I must say, you handsome devil, I'm honestly having trouble remembering what life was like without that noxious being in the White House.

I'll be in a good mood once that plane clears our air space..........

15. Good point. What WAS life like before Bush, Cheney, etc. began
to turn other nations against us, and before they became the model by which the rest of us were judged?

Life ain't fair, I realize, but the Bush administration went well beyond 'unfair' almost directly into 'abominable.'

Harriet Miers for a SCOTUS nomination, for example. I'm absolutely certain there are lounge singers in El Paso with more current events savvy than Harriet Miers.

I don't hold unrealistic expectations that Obama can lightswitch us to an Edenic paradise, but it will matter a great deal that an intelligent and fair adult is taking the ship's wheel.

We're been real thirsty for 'intelligent' and 'fair' now for a long time.

a mention of him on the radio. Suddenly, my co-workers, who generally avoid talking politics, began telling us all how they REALLY felt for the last 8 years.

It wasn't pretty. And their glee reminded me of the munchkins singing "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead."

May that man rot in hell, and even if there isn't a hell, may someone invent one for him to go to (after he's been sent to the Hague, of course).
