4. Corporate media is under strict orders not to demonize China's takeover of our markets
The corporate masters who have built a new Guilded Age for themselves upon importing the shit from China would never let public outcry ever even start about quality and safety concerns from all of the shit we buy from them.

For what it's worth, I have seen several stories refer to hundreds of dead animals, and that as vets looked back in their records, they see many, many more probable cases. Also, one vet on TV here today said that the poison could damage organs and kill animals prematurely for the next few years, as their renal function failed and they became septic and die.

6. Why in the hell are we importing any wheat
from China? They have how many billions of people over there and import wheat by the mega ton and we buy wheat from them, what the hell is going on? How do we know we aren't eating Chinese wheat with rat poison in it ourselves?

7. I don't have all the facts for a long answer to your question but...
Edited on Fri Mar-23-07 03:48 PM by Kagemusha
The FDA would actually inspect imported wheat intended for human consumption, if it is in fact even allowed into the US for the purpose of human consumption - I would not be quick to assume that is the case. But, if Chinese wheat isn't being sold for human consumption in the US, that would be one way to know. If wheat sold for human consumption is rigorously inspected - remember, I don't even know it's allowed or not even - the inspection would be how we would know. And I don't expect you to think much of that so I think it's likely it's not sold in the US for human consumption.

Companies can regulate themselves, right?

:eyes:

I'm sure I saw a figure of over a thousand ill and nearly that many dead.

I'm so sad for all those dog and cat people! It takes one to understand what our animals mean to us.
