2. Wasn't that stunning?
There were silences, just brief silences, as KO thought about what to ask him next.

I've never heard that on "Countdown" before.

Brave man. Very brave man.

They're going to be popping up everywhere, these heroes. That's what I expect.

5. Yep.
This is going to be quite interesting. It will only take the success of a few to open the dam.

6. Don't forget that we have something else
to look forward to.

That is, Jack Abramoff has spent the better part of the past two years singing his head off to the Federal prosecutors about Republican corruption on K Street, NW and the White House and the Capitol. I heard that the Justice Department lawyers have put off bringing indictments until the new President was in office because they feared the possibility of pardons.

Abramoff's sentence - and he's already in the slammer - was conditional on his cooperation and the information he gave up.

It's going to be a bloodbath, that's what I suspect. If the Republicans think they got hammered in the November 2008 elections, they ain't seen nothin' yet.

Isn't that fun?

8. Pres. Obama needs to issue an immediate Executive Order
to protect whistleblowers who expose the illegalities of the previous administration. The order needs to also make it a crime for renegade holdovers to use, distribute, copy, digitize or otherwise manipulate any of the information gathered on US citizens during the Bush administration.
