Have you noticed the change in commercials lately? I've seen EFCA commercials,

one about how affordable health care can save struggling businesses lots of money, and another on alternative energy. I see all of these several times an hour. Its great to see such progressive ideals in TV ads! Hopefully they will make people wake the hell up.

2. I can tell you one reason this is happening...

it's that the economic collapse has left more open advertising slots on TV, and the price of advertising has gone down. So these kinds of organizations can actually afford to run ads now, instead of uber-rich drug companies.

5. I just heard an ad for a vacation

I was only half-listening, but it was something like "The chance of a lifetime," and I swear I heard "eighty percent discount."

That's a serious discount.

I think it was Sandals.

I could be wrong, though.

7. I've seen Obama on Ad Council commercials and tons of calls to service ads

along with the healthcare ads, alt. energy, (un)clean coal, and alternative fuels commercials.

It's refreshing.

8. Some (by no means all, of these) are "conservative" fronts.

They've lost the argument, but are hoping to get in on the direction and the $$$$ that will be coming down the pike.

I'm wary of any group that doesn't list it's donors and backers.
