One member of the GOP-controlled media hopes Obama fails.
All the rest of the GOP-controlled media has also not reported the full extent of the GOP-created coming depression. In fact, one faction of the GOP-controlled media has even started calling the current recession on Obama.

Is it just me, or does it look as though the GOP-controlled media has a narrative already written for the economy the next few years?

1. It's not just you. I noticed a major shift today. I guess is what we'll
be dealing with for the next few years. Ridiculous.

2. I noticed it too.
Actually, I noticed it YESTERDAY. I picked up on a whole lot of snark and innuendo yesterday that I don't care to go into, but yes, the MSM has its narrative already written for them and they are sticking to it UNLESS we the people put them in check.

7. Meh. We've had 8 years of practice.
But, we have the government now.

We just don't have the media though.

3. They will be watching Obama like a hawk for the next 4 years....
that's for sure. They will most likely try to nitpick at every little thing in order to try to discredit Obama. In the hopes that they can dig up some dirt to set a path for impeachment. That's my guess but we'll see.

4. But, that's what the media is supposed to do.
I'm not talking about the media, I'm asking about the GOP-controlled media.

I think they've got their story set already, regardless what happens from here on out.

5. One thing I kept hearing over and over from these people is this statement:
"Obama inspires hope and optimism in people." THIS is what they will use to try to turn the public against Obama. They will TRY to paint him as someone who is not living up to his promises, as someone who does not inspire hope anymore, etc. If they could get some unbelievable scandal on him that goes against the idea of hope, then that would make their day and complete the story in their opinion. They REALLY want to paint him as some pretender who usurped and played the system and the people to get to where he is. THIS, they hope, will tamp down the movement Obama created and the sudden reemergence of interest in the government by the people, so they can get back to business as usual while the people ignore what the thieves are doing behind the curtain.

6. Interesting.
All they have to do is "float" rumors of disappointment.

8. As I went past Chris Matthews the other night, he was announcing that Obama
was cutting "Entitlements" --

How come no one mentions that Bush bankrupted our Treasury --

and that we can't afford war any longer -- nor the MIIC --

Why is anyone watching corporate-media?

9. I haven't heard that Obama is cutting "entitlements."
I heard he was limiting the pay for members of his staff who get paid ore than $100,000/year.

14. And did you see a satisfying look on their faces . . .???
Edited on Thu Jan-22-09 05:09 PM by defendandprotect
This is like looking to Nazis for satisfaction . . .!!!

PLEASE -- I hope you do see something worth reporting of Enlightenment on their faces --

what I've ever seen is blankness and dumb denial -- stonewalling.

Only MSNBC has moved to more progressive programming -- and I think that's because GE

wants to stay on the right-side of those who may be buttering their MIC bread.

Not that I'd trust them anymore than I'd trust Goebbel or their man Pat Buchanan.
