That clip and story are fill with so much irony that it's leaving a ring in my coffee cup.

Note the concern with maintaining the Bush tax cuts. Well, we all know who that benefits from that - the 1% of which Rush is a member. Rush is an old has-been blow hard whose time of being influential is thankfully drawing to a close - due mainly to the fact that the entire SANE part of the country has turned away from Bush, the Republicans and their stupid self-serving political theories based on self-enrichment at public expense.

Their callers are fewer and stupider than you can even imagine. I think that's why in desperation, now they have to interview each other.

If he and Sean started to recognize republicans working well with demoocrats toward a benefit, their shows wouldn't exist as they are now. In other words, bad for business. So for the next 4-8 years, they will be marginalized and making commentary from the sidelines and will mostly be inconsequential. Their time has come and gone.

8. Desperation In Hate Radio Land...

While most of us were celebrating President Obama's innauguration, Cheap Channel, the owners of the largest radio group in the country (many that air the Rushbo Circus) fired 10% of their employees (nice move by the Bushbot Mays family...and by Bain Capital...a subsidiary of the Carlyle Group)...with more cuts on the way. Rushbo's radio world has been imploding...hate radio's influence and hey days have long passed. This is a desperate move for attention by Rushbo...get his name in the news in a vain hope this props up his poor ratings and crumbling advertising. It's a cry for help from the desperate...both politically and from a radio industry in total implosion.

I'd be more shocked if Rushbo had said something positive...also extremely suspect. His act is to whip up the hate and venom...draw listeners like a lunatic ranting on a soap box...get reactions and attention. Methinks this has less to do with anything "ideological"...but a desperate move by Rushbo and his corporate radio buddies to try to get some attention.
