2. It's a great movie
But I think Slumdog Millionaire (ALSO a GREAT movie) may be the one taking home the prize. I hate it when the really good stuff goes head to head. BOTH deserve huge accolades.

7. It got some nominations.
Wall-E was nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Animated pic. Of coure Best Picture nom would have been great.

10. Animated films and science fiction are a double handicap.
Both film classes need to be beyond spectacular to even get a mention at the Oscars.

4. Sean Penn, Josh Brolin also nominated.
Sean Penn for Best Actor, Josh Brolin for Supporting Actor, also "Milk" nominated for it's Screenplay and Director.
